LIFE'S PATHWAY TO REMEMBER.

                     'Home-way Bound' - Oil on Canvas  28 x 31 Inches (2012) * SOLD

Walking through these pathways then as boy to the farm will totally remain memorable in my mind's eyes and my childish fantasies, being a creative person. This painting depicts that ever colorful, walk able, long and almost deserted forest paths I experienced then, somewhere near a village side we used to go farming in Ondo state, Nigeria. I loved those days, the pathways and the whole activities.

So I painted this piece in 2012, reminiscing about that old the villager's lifestyles of daily activities as they walk up this pathways to their farms, hunting, firewood picking and their movements to & fro other villages nearby. Life as they say is a journey, but here in these pathway, to me then,it's always as interesting as i get lots of creative imaginations, fantasies and playing more than a journey walking up to our father's farm portion.

What is life without pathways and journeys? Some of us went through such places like this painting, others through different, clean paths or pavements, while others never even experienced any at all.But I think that no matter who we are now, where we are now or what we do, there is always a pathway, an experience or even people we will always remember, through our journey or walk in life. Right?

This place is one among my many passageway and experiences that i still remember vividly, which is been transferred on to a canvas with colors to bring out this beautiful landscape painting. It shows that returning pathway after the day's activities, no matter how far or long one's journey had been. And I will always be grateful for my many pathways, journey and experiences in life, whether i paint them or not.

MORNING WALK FOR A PAINTING

There is always a glow to the beauty that comes with the early morning sunrise. The dawn of each day comes with perfect, colorful, natural beautiful effect like these painting. ART is not just what you see, but what you make for others to SEE too. I painted this interesting and beautiful place back in 2007at Port Harcourt while on vacation, which captured and emphasized the radiance and magical start of an early day depicting its beauty and splendor in pure natural colors, as inspired by my camera and an early morning walk, since I could not catch up with my jogging schedule that day.

‘Early Fetch II’ - Oil on Canvas’ 23 X 31 (2007) Sold

Early Fetch II, like more other new recent painting series I am working on, is an early sunrise view over a stream in a small village in Port Harcourt, near Choba, sure does brings a beautiful and serene morning glow to a typical day’s activities of water fetching by the people there, adding an interesting observation for me on the natural and exquisite scenery of this place as reflected and portrayed here in my painting.

I believe that my brief walk that day added to my experience of the fact there are many other such nice often overlooked natural beauty of our land, and which I intend documenting by means of my paintings. My artworks tends to capture the beautiful, natural and unseen hidden places in Nigeria and its exquisite places as I see it, observe it, enjoy it, represent it and share such places through my eyes, camera lens my colors and brushes.

MY REFLECTIONS OF NATURE ON CANVAS

ART is not what you SEE, but what You MAKE for others to SEE.

©'Early Morning Solitude'  -  Oil on Canvas 25 x 35 (2008)  SOLD

I have always been attracted to the natural world as I spend time outdoors or when travelling, seeing the beauty of everyday life and colors. I always enjoy the beauty of and colors in nature and places. So hence, painting such places and scenery as I see them has become one of high interest in my artworks. And my goal of painting such places scenery is to convey the same sense of wonder & beauty i experience when i notice and reflect

In a world that revolves around technological advances, we often fail to notice the beauty and simple wonders found in our natural and exquisite land with its unique colors, beautiful scenes  and yet unseen wonders through  the eyes of an artist, as depicted  from this painting titled ‘Early morning  Solitude (Port Harcourt)’. This was done and inspired by one of my earliest visits to Rivers state back then near somewhere near Choba. I could resist capturing this scene through a sketch and on my mind's eye that i later translated into this painting in 2001. Since then,i have done some typical series of such works and still i do cherish such outputs on canvas.

I paint to portray the beauty that awaits us outdoors as I see or observe it.  Recently I have been focusing my art on the beauty of Nigerian landscape scenes, people and its culture.  Most of my paintings focus on different places and locations of natural beauty that we often take for granted or have never been opportune to see. Nature is waiting for us to notice her once more; to be loved, admire, seen, remembered and known for its natural beauty, of  various places Nigeria. I intend to notice, appreciate and bring these through art.
